Well,the RAF has decided to retire the C-130 Hercules from active service, and quite frankly, I'm really amazed, yet still sad at this decision. The official line is,that they want something better, but the Hercules has proved itself a fantastic aircraft. I've seen the replacement for it, and I'm not impressed. Even the powers that be have admitted it's not quite ready. To me,it's just utterly baffling why they're doing this.
